Please try to use a Chrome-based browser if possible as Firefox seem to run into performance issues a lot more during testing.

Special Actions

While guarding, you can trigger two types of special charged spin attacks.

Mechanics Overview

Spin Meter

Blocking and charged spin attacks make use of the spin meter. It will slowly regenerate over time while not guarding.


Blocking

Holding your guard towards the direction of an incoming attack will absorb some of its damage. Successfully guarding an attack consumes some of your spin meter.


Perfect Blocking

With a fully-charged spin meter, timing your guard just as an attack lands absorbs 90% of the incoming damage, while also launching a powerful spin counter attack. This move fully consumes your spin meter on successful procs.


Parrying

Getting hit during certain moments of your attacks may cause both you and the boss to cancel your current moves.

Note: not every attack can be parried. Moves where this can be used varies from boss to boss.


Dashing

You become invulnerable for a short period of time during your dashes. You can dash in four directions while guarding.


Boss: Rampage

Once the boss's health falls below a certain threshold, they enter their rampage state. During this, they gain access to special attacks that may be a bit tricker to deal with


Boss: Topple

Hitting the boss with enough charged spin attacks will cause them to fall over. The threshold for topples increases with each successful proc.


Boss: Spin Attacks

Certain bosses will have especially powerful attacks that cannot be parried or guarded against. These are hinted by the presence of the spin energy visual effect (the same effect as your guard) in the part being used to attack.

In addition to outranging and perfect dashing through it, you can also use perfect guard to avoid these moves.
